Nestled in the Mid-Himalayan ranges of Pir-Panjal and Dhauladhar, just half way between Kullu and Manali on the left bank of the river Beas is a tiny hamlet known as Naggar. Overlooking river Beas, once been the capital of Kullu in the year1460 & later first AC of British Empire started his office in the Castle. The Castle boasts of its rich architect where stones were brought from a village across the river by a human chain. The magnificent view of lower Beas valley, orchards, paddy fields is present day Naggar. Known for its rich heritage and cultural values has the pride to have temple, named ‘JagatiPatt’ which is considered as the ‘Seat of Power for all the Gods and Goddesses of the Valley’. Enthused by the awe inspiring beauty of the landscape, Nicholas Roerich, a Russian Artist known for its paintings, later married to first cine artist of India Devika Rani had settled here in the realm of Nature. Preserving the beauty, culture, custom and heritage in the modernized World, the people of the Naggar village were awarded with the status of the ‘Heritage Village’
By Air: The Kullu- Manali Airport at Bhuntar is approximately forty minutes drive from Treetops Cottage.
By Train: the nearest railway station which is well connected is Chandigarh/Ambala is Aproximately 6-7 hours drive.
By Road: The distance from Delhi to Treetops cottage is 500 Kms. And the national highway passes through the cities of Panipat- Karnal – Ambala – Chandigarh – Rupnagar- Kiratpur Sahib and then entering the foothills of Himalaya Bilaspur – Sundernagar- Mandi- Bhuntar and Kullu
